We are delighted that Chef David Skinner of eculent Restaurant in Kemah, TX has invited us back to do two more evenings of Dinner With The McCartneys on October 16 and 17, when we will serve Mrs. McCartney's Wines and Mrs. McCartney's Teas, and be able to donate to the Linda McCartney Breast Cancer Centre in Liverpool, as we did last time we had an event in July. David is busy working on the creation of the wines which will match several of the tea flavours.GaY August 18 2015

Although the final series on TV is a long way off, I hear of folks who are already planning themed costume parties to celebrate the opening night, some of which include High Tea (although we will be watching the show at more like suppertime), and not only the expat Brits in Los Angeles, but the natives too are besotted with the old world charm of such occasions. I am excited to be serving Afternoon Tea at AZ Republic Food & Wine event in Scottsdale, Arizona in November, and telling Tea stories. We will also be taking part in seminars to tell folks about the history of tea ceremonies from ancient times, and the origins of many flavours, there is always so much to learn about tea.

We have been invited to participate in a two night "Cooking With The McCartneys" event at a high end restaurant in Texas in June, including Mrs. McCartney's Teas, and the owners plan to make a donation to our favourite Charity from the proceeds. Mike Roach, Proprietor of The Canyon Coffee Club (and now Tea) house in Zillah, WA ,has just taken part in a silent auction and raised over $200 for the Linda McCartney Breast Cancer Center in Liverpool, which included a selection of my teabags, along with some of his own yummy baked goodies and coffee. I hope to make a trip to visit him in the not too distant future. Mike's Father, Kevin, is the author of several Beatles related books from his home on Merseyside. Here in Vienna, my teas are a great success, particularly 50 Shades of Earl Grey. l am loving the local milk in my tea. It has a certain creamy quality that is different from what I'm used to. I might just have to buy a cow to take home. But I'm not sure if I could get it in the overhead bin, particularly with the big bells they wear around their necks here. Having a wonderful (busy) time. Next stop: Obertauern, where the Beatles filmed the ski scenes for HELP! Then on to Istanbul before returning to our beloved Playa del Rey. A recent study carried out by Shandong University in China (one of the biggest in the country) put out a report that the properties of green tea may help to alleviate depression.
